The earthquake occurred in an area where we announced MODERATE seismic hazard exposure (blue alert) in our latest weekly earthquake forecast for the Euro-Mediterranean region, on April 22, 2024, available here.

The wider area of the earthquake was under the influence of rotational singularity began on April 12, 2024, and will persist until May 2, 2024, contributing to the INCREASED seismic hazard exposure levels.
