Quantectum Meeting with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in PRC

The Slovenian-Chinese Business Council (SCBC) from Slovenia organized a virtual meeting for its members with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in China and the Consulate of the Republic of Slovenia in Shanghai on the 19^th of May.

The guests were the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Beijing, Alenka Suhadolnik, Economic Adviser Tea Pirih, and the Head of the Consulate in Shanghai, Mira Lesjak.

This year, Slovenia and China are celebrating 30 years of diplomatic relations, which were formally established on May 12, 1992, when the two countries formally established ties. Chengdu and Ljubljana, the first pairs of sister cities of the two countries, held a ceremony on the evening of May 10, local time. Therefore, this year is a very important year for diplomatic relations between China and Slovenia, and the Slovenian-Chinese Business Council has a big role in making these relationships stronger and longer.

On the meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Beijing Alenka Suhohadolnik reported on the key activities by the embassy that are of interest to members and partners in the Chinese market, as well as the current situation in Beijing, while the Head of the Consulate in Shanghai Mira Lesjak reported on the current situation in Shanghai. They, furthermore, explained their views on the current business situation in China, gave some valuable advice, and answered the question of the meeting attendees.
